Why water is essential for fat loss:single, most important factor in losing weight and keeping it off. Water is possibly the only true magic potion for permanent weight loss. It is believed that when we metabolize or "burn" 16 ounces of fat, our body generates 22 ounces of water, which surprisingly must be flushed out by drinking water, a minimum of 64 ounces daily. By drinking less than this amount, the body feels
threatened, and in self protection, will hang on to every molecule of water in the body, resulting in fluid retention and no "weight loss" on the scales.
How much water is enough?
If you are of normal weight for your height, then on average you should drink (8) eight -- 8 oz. glasses of pure water every day. However, if you are overweight you should take (1) one additional glass for every 25 lbs. of excess weight you are trying to lose. The amount that you drink should be increased if you exercise, or if the weather is hot and dry. Water can suppress the appetite naturally and helps the body metabolize stored fat. Drinking water and correcting fluid retention use more fat used as fuel because the liver is free to metabolize fat at top speed. The kidneys cannot function properly without enough water. When they don't work to capacity, some of their load is dumped on the liver forcing it to metabolize less fat. Water helps rid the body of waste. The body has a lot more waste to get rid of all that metabolized fat must be shed. Again adequate water helps to flush out the waste.
1. Retained water shows up as excess weight. 2.To get rid of excess water you must drink more water. 3. Drinking water is essential to weight loss.
Drinking water benefits:
1.Endocrine gland function improves. 2.Fluid retention is alleviated as stored water is forced out. 3.Fat is used as fuel as the liver is freed to metabolize stored fat. 4.Natural thirst returns.
